‘Born This Way’
Born This Way is a bold fashion project that centers around the artistry of drag, celebrating the power of self-expression and the fearless embrace of individuality. Working closely with a drag queen, I explored the transformative nature of drag and its ability to challenge conventional beauty standards while radiating confidence and creativity.
Through daring designs, extravagant flair, and vibrant styling, this project captures the essence of what it means to live authentically. Each look reflects the inherent drama and glamour that drag embodies—where fashion is more than just clothing; it’s a statement, a performance, and an art form. From the intricate makeup to the theatrical outfits, Born This Way is a visual feast that honors the fluidity of identity and the limitless possibilities of self-expression.
This project aims to inspire and empower, not only within the drag community but for anyone who has ever felt the pressure to conform. By celebrating the uniqueness of drag culture, Born This Way is a tribute to the beauty of being unapologetically yourself, using fashion as a powerful tool to defy norms and embrace the extraordinary.
